What the Future Said
By Aditi Bhandari
As I looked out of the future’s train,
I must’ve banged my head
Cuz I saw a path of sorrow and pain,
A path which I would tread.
As I looked beyond the future’s towers,
Watching with wonder and awe
Cuz I saw happiness shower down on me,
Like dainty, vibrant, flowers.
Then I saw a figure I have seen, yet did not know,
Through my visions of joy and strife
It appeared to be my friend, but also my foe,
And it was the future who whispered, “Meet my friend, Life.”
