The Library of Congress has one of the world’s largest collections of historic blueprints, including the Stone Boat Galloway Type Cataract Boat.
The blueprint can be found below and at the Library of Congress. Blueprints can be used to see how people lived, to make a model and to create different boats using the ideas from the blueprint.
Today programs like the National Park Service Heritage Documentation Program continue to research and add information to the Library of Congress.
Sixth grader Connor Troxler, Central Middle School, Anne Arundel County, enjoyed the Library of Congress trip and loves to read fiction.
