By Caroline Howser
I decided to write a poem about peer pressure because in my school everyone is pressured into doing something, whether it’s buying a pair of shoes or going somewhere popular. But, I believe people shouldn’t do something because everyone else is doing it or because people say they should. It’s important to be original.
Sometimes I try to back out, one foot dragging a ball and chain.
But I find myself pulled back, pulled back to a world of doing the same as everyone else.
One day I dream of escaping. Escaping the pressure that we’ve all come to live with and except.
